Steroids Dealer Who Met With NFL Officials Reportedly Found Dead in Home
A convicted steroids dealer who had met recently with NFL representatives was found shot to death today, according to reports.
Plano, Tex., personal trainer David Jacobs, 35, was found dead in his home when police went there to make a welfare check, the Associated Press reported.
Amando Jo Earhart-Savell, 30, also had been shot to death.
The Dallas Morning News reported that a gun was found in the home.
Jacobs pleaded guilty last year in federal court in Dallas to steroid distribution. He was sentenced in May to three years probation and fined $25,000. Jacobs reportedly met with NFL officials on May 21 and supplied them with names of players to which he said he'd supplied steroids. Jacobs had said he'd dealt mainly with two players, including offensive lineman Matt Lehr. Lehr's attorney denied that Lehr had used performance-enhancing drugs since being suspended by the league in 2006 and said he'd been told by authorities that Lehr would not be indicted in the case.
