Bears Have Deal With First-Rounder C. Williams

The Chicago Bears completed a contract agreement with rookie offensive tackle Chris Williams hours before their opening practice of training camp today.

Williams agreed to a five-year deal that, according to a source, is worth about $16 million, including approximately $10 million in guaranteed money.

He was the 14th overall selection in the NFL draft in April and was one of eight left tackles chosen in the first round league-wide.

Williams is the eighth first-rounder league-wide to agree to a contract.
