Cowboys Decide to Cut T. Glenn

The Dallas Cowboys have decided to release veteran wide receiver Terry Glenn.

Glenn missed almost all of last season because of knee troubles, and he and the team spent much of the offseason at odds because of Glenn's refusal to sign a waiver that would have reduced his salary for this season if he was unable to play because of further knee problems.

There was some indications earlier today that Glenn was willing to relent and sign the waiver, but the Cowboys weren't willing to take a risk on his health and retain him. Even so, club officials are leaving open the possibility of re-signing Glenn later. Without him, they lack a proven wideout to go with Terrell Owens and Patrick Crayton.
