G. Jackson Returns to Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons announced that they've agreed to contract terms with veteran defensive tackle Grady Jackson.

Jackson is one of the league's heftiest and most effective run-stoppers. He was with the Falcons last season before being released by former coach Bobby Petrino, but agreed to patch up his differences with the organization and return under Petrino's successor, Mike Smith. Jackson played for Smith, then the Jaguars' defensive coordinator, last season in Jacksonville after being released by Petrino and the Falcons.
