Raiders Release L. Jordan
The Oakland Raiders released tailback LaMont Jordan.
The Raiders had told Jordan not to report to training camp. But under NFL rules, they could not keep him from joining the team without trading or releasing him. Unable to trade Jordan, the Raiders released him.
