T. Glenn Headed to Miami?
Wide receiver Terry Glenn, released by the Dallas Cowboys, reportedly is prepared to sign with the Miami Dolphins.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that the move is expected to happen within the next few days.
In one way, that move would make perfect sense. Glenn played for Bill Parcells, now the Dolphins' front office chief, when Parcells coached in New England and Dallas. New Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland and first-year coach Tony Sparano were with Parcells--and Glenn--in Dallas.
But in another way, it makes no sense at all. Glenn is a veteran player and the Dolphins are in a total rebuilding phase, coming off a 1-15 season. They just traded away veteran defensive end Jason Taylor, a former NFL defensive player of the year. They're not going to win anything, any time soon. Glenn will be stuck playing with a young quarterback, and putting up big receiving numbers will be next to impossible.
