B. Marshall Appeals Suspension

Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall has appealed his three-game suspension under the league's personal conduct policy, the Denver Post reported.

People involved in the league's disciplinary process have said in the past that such appeals are virtually certain to fail. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is responsible both for imposing the original penalty and deciding the appeal.

In Marshall's case, Goodell reportedly already has indicated a willingness to reduce Marshall's suspension to two games if he meets certain conditions.
