Bengals' Signing of C. Henry Should Become Official Today
The Cincinnati Bengals plan to sign wide receiver Chris Henry to a one-year contract today if he passes a physical first.
The Bengals released Henry in April after he was arrested and charged with assault. That charge eventually was dropped by prosecutors. But Henry was suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the regular season without pay for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
Henry was suspended for the first half of last season under the policy. He returns to a Bengals team with injuries to starting wide receivers Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Johnson has a sprained shoulder and Houshmandzadeh is limited by a hamstring injury.
