Berthelsen Selected as Interim NFLPA Leader

Richard Berthelsen, the NFL Players Association's general counsel, has been chosen the interim executive director of the union in the wake of the death of Gene Upshaw, sources have told Mark Maske.

Players on the union's ruling executive committee decided in a conference call within the past few hours to elevate Berthelsen.
