Brady Says Same Leg But Different Injury

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said on a Boston radio station today that the current foot injury plaguing him is a different injury, albeit to the same leg, than the one he suffered during last season's AFC title game.

Brady did not accompany the Patriots to Tampa for their preseason game over the weekend against the Buccaneers.

Brady didn't provide many specifics during his appearance on WEEI but said it's possible he'll play in the Patriots' next exhibition game.

That, he said, will be decided by Coach Bill Belichick.

"I'm feeling better every day," Brady said.

Brady suffered what was called a high ankle sprain to his right leg during last season's triumph over the San Diego Chargers in the AFC championship game.

That injury was highly scrutinized during the buildup to the Patriots' Super Bowl defeat to the New York Giants after Brady was photographed with a walking boot on his right foot. Brady played in the Super Bowl and said during the offseason that his ankle was healed.

This injury reportedly is to his foot.

Tom Brady doesn't run the defense. The Pats had a hard time stopping the run last season and it seems to be carrying over to this season. Add this to a still suspect and AGING secondary we have defensive problems. Tom Brady doesn't run the ball. So far it seems neither does Maroney, Faulk and Assoc. I will still fly my flag, but I don't see smooth sailing ahead.
