Broncos LB Released from Hospital
From the Denver Post:
Louis Green, the Denver Broncos linebacker who collided with a teammate and was taken from the field on a cart with a neck injury in the Broncos' preseason game Saturday night in Houston, was released from the hospital by the end of the game. Green, who gave a thumbs-up sign after being immobilized on a stretcher on the field, was wearing a neck brace while changing out of his uniform in the locker room and was allowed to join the team for its return trip to Denver.
"We feel pretty good about where he's at, hopefully with no setback," coach Mike Shanahan said.
Green's quick return to the locker room helped ease the fears of his teammates, many of whom were in Buffalo last season when Bills tight end Kevin Everett was temporarily paralyzed in the season opener against the Broncos.
"I gave him a big hug, immediately," Webster said of Green. "I know how much he cares about the game."
