Bucs Release C. Simms
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released quarterback Chris Simms.
Simms had described his relationship with Buccaneers Coach Jon Gruden as beyond repair and had hoped to be released.
He'd said during the offseason that Gruden demonstrated a lack of concern last year when Simms was working his way back from emergency surgery to have his spleen removed after being injured during a game in the 2006 season.
The Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens are believed to be among the teams interested in signing Simms.
The Buccaneers had a logjam at quarterback with Jeff Garcia, Luke McCown, Brian Griese and rookie Josh Johnson also on the roster.

Hey Mark,
One thing for certain, Sim's agent, won't be showing any NFL Clubs the playoff game in Tampa when our D made Sims look awfully bad that day...
