C. Pennington Lands in Miami
It didn't take Chad Pennington long to get a new job.
On the day after being released by the New York Jets following their trade for Brett Favre, the quarterback has agreed to a contract with the Miami Dolphins.
The two-year deal is worth about $11.5 million.
Pennington likely will become the Dolphins' starter. If the team also keeps rookie Chad Henne, that could leave the Dolphins getting rid of either Josh McCown or John Beck before the season.
Pennington had been pursued by a half-dozen teams after being released.
Bill Parcells, now the Dolphins' front office chief, drafted Pennington for the Jets.
