Cards Saying QB Job Still Up For Grabs

Coach Ken Whisenhunt this week denied an ESPN report that the team had decided to go with Kurt Warner as its starting quarterback over Matt Leinart.

However, it might just be an issue of timing. Leinart is coming off a 4-for-12, three interception passing performance in his last preseason outing, and there's little reason to believe at this point that he still can convince the Cardinals coaches to trust him with the starting job entering the season.
