Extension For Titans Cornerback

Cornerback Cortland Finnegan agreed to a contract extension with the Tennessee Titans that runs through the 2011 season

Combined with what had been left on his existing contract, the deal is worth about $16.8 million over four seasons.

It includes approximately $8.5 million in guaranteed money.

Finnegan was a seventh-round draft choice in 2006 but has been a pleasant surprise for the Titans after getting a chance to play last season in place of suspended cornerback Adam Jones.
