Favre Sharp Early in Debut
For those of you not tuning in to Brett Favre's debut with the New York Jets against the Washington Redskins, Favre was sharp on his first series.
He competed his first three passes, totaling 25 yards. On his first play, he zipped a pass to wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery on a slant pattern for a first down.
The Jets converted a fourth-and-short gamble on their own side of midfield, but their drive stalled soon thereafter when Favre was sacked and threw incomplete on third and long.
Still, it was a good beginning for Favre.
Who says you need to know the offense?
