Favre's Night Done After Two Drives, One Touchdown Pass
Coach Eric Mangini has decided that two series and 14 plays are enough for quarterback Brett Favre in his New York Jets debut.
It was a highly successful unveiling.
Starting his first preseason game only a week after having his first practice with the team, Favre completed five of six passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.
His final throw was a four-yard touchdown pass to rookie tight end Dustin Keller.
He exits with the Jets leading the Washington Redskins, 7-3.
Kellen Clemens has taken over at quarterback on the Jets' third possession of the night early in the second quarter.
Jets fans undoubtedly have Super Bowl aspirations dancing in their heads right now. It has taken only one outing for Favre to send expectations soaring.
