Giants Add J. McDougle

The New York Giants signed defensive end Jerome McDougle.

He'd been released by the Philadelphia Eagles and gives the Giants additional depth at defensive end behind new starters Justin Tuck and Mathias Kiwanuka. They're replacing the retired Michael Strahan and the injured Osi Umenyiora.

The Giants also have veteran Renaldo Wynn as a backup at the position.
