Giants' Umenyiora Hurts Knee

The Washington Redskins aren't the only NFC East team with a major concern tonight about a knee injury to a standout pass-rushing defensive end.

Osi Umenyiora of the New York Giants has been taken from the field on a cart after hurting his left knee during a preseason game against the New York Jets at Giants Stadium.

The extent of the injury is not immediately clear. Further tests are scheduled for Sunday.

The Giants announced that X-rays were negative, but it will take an MRI on Sunday to determine whether Umenyiora suffered ligament damage.
