J. Lynch Agrees to Deal With Patriots

Safety John Lynch has agreed to a contract with the New England Patriots, according to a source.

Lynch visited the Patriots on Wednesday.

It was not certain that Lynch would continue his NFL career when he and the Denver Broncos agreed to part ways in recent weeks. Lynch was said to be considering retiring and pursuing a career in broadcasting. But he fits into the veteran-laden New England defense, and the Patriots might not be done adding graybeards.
