L. Petitgout Reportedly Facing Four-Game Suspension
According to reports by Tampa-area media outlets, former Buccaneers offensive tackle Luke Petitgout has been suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the regular season.
A league official told the Tampa Tribune and St. Petersburg Times that Petitgout was suspended for violating the league's steroids policy.
Petitgout was recovering from knee surgery and was on the physically unable to perform list when the Buccaneers released him last weekend.

The rules say you can't cut a player because of a failed drug test. Remember when the Cowboys cut Quincy Carter during training camp a few years ago? Same issue. But it's tough to prove. If Petitgout wants to pursue a grievance, he'd have to prove that's why he was cut, not for some other reason. And even if he proves that, he'd have to show what damages he'd been entitled to, if any.

so, now we know why Tampa cut him last week, or can they do that?
