Leftwich to Work Out For Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers might be turning to Byron Leftwich as their backup quarterback after losing Charlie Batch, who suffered a broken collarbone during Friday night's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Leftwich is scheduled to work out for the Steelers today and could be signed if all goes well.
He was released by the Atlanta Falcons after last season.
Leftwich spent one season with the Falcons after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Batch is to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks.
