P. Manning Says He Remains Hopeful of Being in Opening Day Lineup
Peyton Manning spoke to reporters today after his appearance at the Indianapolis Colts' practice.
The quarterback said he remained hopeful of being in the Colts' lineup for the opening regular season game. Manning said it had not been determined when he will resume practicing. He has been sidelined since undergoing surgery just before training camp to have an infected bursa sac removed from his left knee.
There was a report by an Indianapolis television station that Manning was photographed with a brace on his right knee at his charity bowling tournament Monday. Manning said today he doesn't wear a brace on either knee. He had a wrap around his left knee at today's practice, and nothing on his right knee.
