Packers Linebacker Wins Appeal

Veteran linebacker Nick Barnett won his appeal of his one-game suspension under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Barnett will be allowed to play for the Green Bay Packers in their season-opening game against the Minnesota Vikings. But he will be playing for free. He still will be fined one game check, amounting to about $155,000 of his $2.65 million salary.

Barnett agreed to a plea bargain and was fined after being charged with two misdemeanors stemming from his arrest following an argument outside an Appleton, Wis., bar last year.
