Patriots' Moves

The New England Patriots placed guard Stephen Neal on the physically unable to perform list today.

He has a shoulder injury and now will miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season.

Among the other roster moves announced by the Patriots was the release of fullback Kyle Eckel, formerly of the Naval Academy.

The club also released veteran cornerback Jason Webster.
