Pennington Has First Dolphins' Practice

Quarterback Chad Pennington participated in his first practice with the Miami Dolphins today.

Pennington took the majority of the snaps in full team drills, then stayed around after practice for an additional 20 minutes of throwing.

The hierarchy of Dolphins quarterbacks is taking shape. Rookie Chad Henne took slightly fewer snaps than Pennington, while Josh McCown and John Beck each got far fewer. Either McCown or Beck likely will be released before the season.

The Dolphins signed Pennington after he was released by the New York Jets following their acquisition of Brett Favre last week.
