QB Shortage in Baltimore

The Baltimore Ravens signed quarterback Casey Bramlet today.

He is expected to play in tonight's preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, with Kyle Boller plagued by a sore shoulder and Troy Smith by an illness. Rookie Joe Flacco is the only healthy quarterback in the Ravens' three-way starting competition.

The Ravens could be looking to add a quarterback after other teams make their cuts this weekend. Two strong possibilities are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Chris Simms and the Miami Dolphins' John Beck.

Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was Miami's head coach last season and drafted Beck, so Beck could step right in and would know the offensive system in Baltimore.
