Ravens Trade For M. Douglas

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a trade in which they will obtain defensive end Marques Douglas from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Howard University product has had two previous stints with the Ravens, first as a rookie in 1999 and then again between 2001 and 2004. He spent the past three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

Douglas signed with the Buccaneers in the offseason as a free agent but was facing a numbers crunch in Tampa. The Ravens needed help on the defensive line after placing Dwan Edwards on the season-ending injured reserve list Tuesday. The Ravens surrendered a draft pick next spring for Douglas, plus a conditional selection in 2010.
