Reduced Workload For Favre, As Requested

Brett Favre got the pitch count he wanted.

After saying during a midday news conference Wednesday that his arm was fatigued and he might ask Coach Eric Mangini to limit his number of throws in that day's later practice, the veteran quarterback indeed had his workload limited.

Favre reportedly had lighter-than-normal practices with the New York Jets late Wednesday and Thursday.

He's scheduled to start Saturday's preseason game against the Washington Redskins at Giants Stadium and take about a dozen snaps.
