Rooneys Reportedly to Meet With Goodell Next Week

Pittsburgh Steelers Chairman Dan Rooney and his four brothers are scheduled to meet next Thursday in New York with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

The league continues to look for a solution to the Steelers' ownership dilemma.

The Rooneys own 80 percent of the franchise, with each of the brothers controlling a 16 percent stake. Some of the brothers reportedly are considering an offer by billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller, who has been seeking to purchase a majority interest in the team.

Dan Rooney, one of the league's most influential and respected owners, also has made an offer to his brothers.
