S. Andrews to Report to Eagles' Camp Today
Guard Shawn Andrews is scheduled to report to the Philadelphia Eagles' training camp today, according to Coach Andy Reid.
Andrews has been absent from all of camp and has said in published reports that he is suffering from depression.
"I think he'll be here sometime today," Reid said at a news conference. "I'm not sure exactly when, but we'll get him up here and have a chance to talk to him, see how he's doing, where he's at. He won't practice this afternoon."
Reid said it had not been determined when Andrews would begin practicing.
"I want to see him first before I make any judgment there," Reid said. "I know he's been working out, but I just want to sit down and talk to him face to face and make sure everything's set up for him here so he can be successful."
Reid said he spoke to Andrews at length Saturday.
"He wants to come back," Reid said. "I'm sure there's some apprehension there, but I know he wants to get back going, get back up here with the guys."
