S. Smith Sent Home From Panthers' Camp

The Carolina Panthers have sent wide receiver Steve Smith home from their training camp in Spartanburg, S.C., after his fight today with cornerback Ken Lucas.

According to the team, both players returned to Charlotte. Club officials declined to say if Smith has been or would be suspended.

Lucas left the field with an ice pack over his left eye following the altercation. The extent of his injuries is not known.
