Seau Still Could Return to N.E.
Linebacker Junior Seau isn't ruling out a return to the New England Patriots.
Seau told a San Diego radio station that he wouldn't play for another NFL team but would consider playing for the Patriots this season and has been in contact with Coach Bill Belichick.
The Patriots fortified their linebacking corps on draft day by using their first-round pick on Jerod Mayo of Tennessee. But the team brought back veteran linebackers Tedy Bruschi and Mike Vrabel, and perhaps could bring back Seau as well.

Jerod Mayo looked great in the preseason opener, but I still want to see Junior back. He made a big impact last season, and he showed that he can still play. Of course, I also thought the Pats made a huge mistake in letting Troy Brown go, too, so take my opinion for what it's worth. Whatever his role, Troy Brown had a way of making that one key critical 4th-down conversion during the game-winning drive. I think we sorely missed his presence in the Super Bowl. Hope Belichick doesn't make the same mistake with Junior.
Right now, I think the team is more concerned about the offensive line, though...
