Vikings to Keep Top Two QBs on Sideline This Week

The Minnesota Vikings are planning to withhold quarterback Tarvaris Jackson from a second straight preseason game since he suffered a knee injury. Jackson still is vowing to be ready for the regular season opener.

The Vikings also are planning to sit down top backup Gus Frerotte this week and divide the playing time between rookie John David Booty and Brooks Bollinger, who are competing for the third quarterback spot.
