The Bird's Nest

(Jonathan Newton/The Washington Post)

Yesterday was the first time I saw the Bird's Nest. It's a really neat structure. I guess you could call it a photographer's dream, with those graphic lines.

This was a remote shot I set up five hours before opening ceremonies out on a bridge by the stadium.

More later, sports fans.
