Another American goes down

Luis Yanez, the light flyweight from Duncansville, Texas who was kicked off the U.S. Olympic team in July and then let back on just before the Games began, lost his second round fight 8-7 to Serdamba Purevdorj of Mongolia.

Yanez trailed by two points in the final round and made a frantic comeback to cut the defecit to one. But Purevdorj danced around the ring the last 15 seconds and then tied Yanez up with about five seconds left to keep Yanez from one last shot at a victory.

The loss leaves just two U.S. fighters in the Olympics_ heavyweight Deontay Wilder and welterweight Demetrius Andrade.
