Diving: Wilkinson Fifth in Prelims

Laura Wilkinson placed fifth in the women's 10m platform diving preliminaries held Wednesday evening at the National Aquatics Center. Teammate Haley Ishimatsu was 10th.

Wilkinson scored a 370.70, which was 58.10 behind the leader, China's Chen Ruolin, who posted a 428.80. In second was Wang Xin of China at 420.30, while Canada's Emilie Heymans was third with a 403.85. Ishimatsu scored a 329.00

The semifinals and finals are Thursday.
