Fencing: France Wins Epee Gold

From the Associated Press:

France has won the team gold medal in men's epee fencing, easily defeating Poland in the title bout.
The French trio of Jerome Jeannet, Fabrice Jeannet and Ulrich Robeiri won 45-29 Friday in the gold medal bout. Poland took the silver, and Italy won the bronze.
Fabrice Jeannet, the individual silver medalist, outscored his opponents 17-7 in the gold medal bout. After he won five straight points against Radoslaw Zawrotniak, France led 30-14. He later returned to win seven of the final 11 points to clinch the title.
France also won the men's epee title in 2004. This was Poland's first medal in the event since 1980.
Italy won the gold in 1996 and 2000.
