Judo: Rousey to Quarters
Ronda Rousey continued her Olympic success with a second round win over Katarzyna Pilocik of Poland. Rousey armbarred Pilocik to win the match and advance to the quarterfinals against Edith Bosch of the Netherlands.
Rousey is attempting to become the first U.S. player to win Olympic gold in judo and the first U.S. woman ever to win an Olympic medal since judo became a full medal sport in 1992.
Brian Olson was been eliminated in the 90kg division. After Argentina's Diego Rosatti defeated Olson in the first round, Rosatti lost his next match to Ivan Pershin of Russia, making Olson ineligible for the repechage.
