Men's Basketball: U.S.-Spain Halftime Update

The United States leads Spain, 69-61, at halftime of the gold medal game.

Dwyane Wade leads all scorers with 21 points in just 13 minutes -- stepping up big for the U.S. as LeBron James and Kobe Bryant have been hampered by early foul trouble.

The United States has led most of the way but the eight-point halftime lead is the team's smallest of the tournament as the U.S. is matched against a very experienced Spanish team that features several players with NBA ties.

Spain has been playing without starting point guard Jose Calderon who is nursing a thigh injury.
