Shooting: Emmons into Final

Matt Emmons scored a 597 and advanced to the finals of the men's 50m prone rifle competition at the Beijing Shooting Range Hall Friday morning. He was two points behind the Ukraine's Artur Ayvazian.

The other U.S. entry, Michael Anti, shot a 594 and placed ninth, just missing advancement to the eight-man final round.
