Synchro Pair in Fifth

The U.S. entry of Christina Jones and Andrea Nott stood fifth after their technical routines in synchronized swimming duet competition at the National Aquatics Center Monday afternoon.

The pair will carry a 47.750 into tomorrow's free routine, which begins at 3 p.m. Their score today was 1.584 behind that of the Russian team of Anastasia Davydova and Anastasia Ermakova, who had a 49.334. In second was Spain's Andrea Fuentes and Gemma Mengual with a 48.834. Saho Harada and Emiko Suzuki of Japan were third with a 48.250, while Jiang Tingting and Jiang Wenwen of China were fourth with 40.084.
