Table Tennis Team Just Short
The U.S. women's table tennis team, including Gao Jun of Gaithersburg, lost to Korea, 3-0, in round two of the bronze play-off bracket.
Korea advances to the bronze medal match while the U.S. is eliminated from team competition. It was the furthest a U.S. table tennis team has advanced in Olympic play.
Men's and women's individual play begins Monday.
