U.S. Shooter Nabs Bronze

Corey Cogdell survived a four-way shootout to bring home the bronze medal in women's trap shooting at the Beijing Shooting Range Monday afternoon.

In the final, Codgell was the only shooter to hit her last five targets, propelling her into a four-way tie for the bronze medal. She then was the only one of the four to hit her first trap in the shootout, giving her a spot on the podium.

The gold medal went to Satu Makela-Nummela of Finland, who ended the day with a final Olympic record score of 91 after shooting a 21 in the final round. Zuzana Stefecekova of Slovakia took the silver medal with a score of 89, including a 19 in the final round.
