(Update) Wrestling: U.S. Wrestlers Done

U.S. freestyle wrestler Daniel Cormier has withdrawn from competition at 96 kg, which was Thursday.

Cormier weighed in on Wednesday and received his draw. He became dehydrated and received treatment from U.S. Olympic Committee medical staff at the Poly Clinic in the Athlete Village and at a local hospital. He has since rehydrated and is expected to have a complete recovery.

After consultation with Cormier, his coaches and the medical staff, it was decided that Cormier would not compete. According to international rules, there can be no replacement after the weigh in is held, so there will be no U.S. entry at the weight class.

Meanwhile, Steven Mocco lost in a second-change match against Fardin Misoumi of Iran, ending the U.S. wrestling team's Olympics.
