Area Rowers Honored

Three area rowers were among 41 named to the Scholastic Honor Roll by USRowing.

Sahand Dilmanghani (Oakton/James Madison High), Elizabeth Mills (Washington/National Cathedral) and Elliot Oakley (Arlington/Yorktown), a 2007 All-Met honorable mention, were recognized by the organization.

Honorable mentions were Craig Courtney (Fairfax/W.T. Woodson), Colleen Devlin (McLean/McLean High) and William Massimini (Bowie/DeMatha).

The Honor Roll recognizes high school seniors who have excelled in both academics and rowing. Applicants must be USRowing members, have rowed or coxed at least one year, and successfully competed at or above the league or regional level.
