U.S. Swimmer Sets Two World Records

American Peter Marshall set world records in the men's 50- and 100-meter short-course (25-meter pool) backstroke events during a two-day meet in Stockholm, Sweden, Tuesday and Wednesday.

On the sixth stop of the 2008 FINA/ARENA World Cup, South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh set a world mark in the men's 50 breaststroke (25.94) and Sweden's Therese Alshammar followed suit in the women's 50 butterfly (25.31).
