Caldwell 10th in Olympic freestyle aerials
Hamilton's Ashley Caldwell, 16, the youngest member of the U.S. Olympic team, finished 10th in the Olympic freestyle aerials competition that concluded late Wednesday.
Caldwell, who trained for years at Apex Gymnastics in Leesburg, tallied 171.10 points, finishing just behind American Lacy Schnoor, who was ninth in 172.89, and ahead of Olympic veteran Emily Cook, who was 11th with 148.92.
Lydia Lassila of Australia won the gold (214.74); China's Nina Li got the silver (207.23) and Xinxin Guo (205.22) landed the bronze.
