Snack Attack

Kathy Lazor, MoCo schools diet and nutrition: County provides following info to principals, who then make different decisions that run the gamut over bring anything to strict rules. Info is: be sensitive to children who have allergies. County expresses concern for foods that can cause food-borne illness b/c of food storage. Hence foods that require refrigeration are discouraged. For events in which parents may want to cook, they are required to prepare food on site and have a food preparation expert on site at the time to gaurantee that the food is prepared in ways that avoid food-borne illness.
