Patty and I went to the same Dale City, VA, middle school and spent lots of time together. We lived in the same neighborhood and her mother, Mrs. Dillaber, was my piano teacher. I remember so well that I used to love to get there early and hang out with Patty before my lessons. One of her favorite things was to bug her big brother John! She was always so bubbly, friendly and fun to be around. Every time I hear about something related to 9-11, I stop and think about Patty and the wonderful person she was.

Dear Patty was one of the most loving person's I've ever had the privilege of knowing and working with-especially in the Pentagon. Always cheerful and caring and willing to do something for another. There are 4 words in the Greek for our 1 word of love. Agape is one-willingness to lay down one's life for another. This Patty did for so many of us. Patty; looking forward to being with you again in one of those heavenly rooms reserved for all of us of faith.

I miss you, Patty. I miss our high school days, and your never-ending smile. You were in my heart this morning as I watched the memorial unveiling at the Pentagon. May you rest peacefully. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers forever.
